在土耳其会过两大伊斯兰教节日，一个是「开斋节」另一个为「宰牲节」。传说，真主为考验先知亚伯拉罕对自己是否忠诚，要求他杀子献祭。现在宰牲节已成土耳其家庭团聚的节日，度假胜地也会在这段期间掀起热潮。
