伊斯坦堡有两座极为不同的皇宫，两座却都是奥斯曼／鄂图曼帝国的皇宫。一座是托普卡匹旧皇宫，另外一座就是隔着金角湾的新皇宫－多尔玛巴切宫（Dolmabahçe Sarayı）。这座巴洛克式的皇宫，与之前强烈伊斯兰风的旧皇宫不同，也代表着奥斯曼帝国最终敌不过世界潮流西化的历史。
